Personal Bio

My interest in photography started about twenty-one years ago while on vacation.  In the past two years my passion for photography has grown immensely.  To support this interest and to challenge myself I began attending Waubonsee Community College where I continue to develop my artistic skills as well as to improve my understanding of composition and lighting.

I began taking photographs at an early age with my father’s ‘antique’ camera.  Through the years I have watched my style and composition change.  I take photographs of things that catch my eye.  While stills, shape, form and color, lure me to take a photograph; I prefer not to limit myself to any one genre.  My best photographs are often subjects that are more detailed, macro or still-life.  Currently I am exploring black and white photography as well as lighting.

I plan to continue studying this passion as it is not only something I enjoy, but it is also very rewarding.  I also enjoy discussing what others see when they view my art.  I continue to learn while I feed my passion.
